THAT BITCH GOT BODY!

THAT BITCH GOT BODY is a phrase that is specific to a cultural milieu. Its history has evolved out of black gay male, black drag queen, and black transgender context rooted in New York City. This body of work is inspired by personal experiences with my body from enduring homophobia and battling Stage IV cancer to tenderness and being embraced. All of our experiences are valuable and our bodies are our autobiographies. This work is truth-telling and has healing qualities. - Andre D.
